In this 21st era the technology becomes more advanced and to do things become more easier and easier. But as technology makes life easier it also makes it difficult for humans to get rid of it. No doubt the technology keeps a lot of advanced information in it but there are more distractions in it like social media and chatting with friends. It makes our mind so lazy that our mind always wants to remain in rest and find a comfortable zoon. So there is our mind becoming so master in procrastination(delaying or postponing the things). It’s hard to get rid of it but there are some techniques from which we can overcome this.

The technique or method used to avoid procrastinating and to start work just on time. According to the research no one in the world has not procrastination in his mind. It depends on us how we deal with it. The name of that procrastination is frog which is an animal and always loves to be in comfort and enjoying. When it comes to mind it starts diverting your mind towards comfortable and distract you from your work. Which would result in regret or headache when the deadline of that work or the opportunity to reach your goal comes too near. At that state pomodoro which is a monster named for that fear which occurs when we reach the deadline of that task, this monster lets the frog away and urges our mind to complete the task as soon as possible.

To overcome this procrastination the thing we would use is to set the deadline or time for completing the task. We made a table and wrote down the task in it with mentioning the time to complete it. Start doing the work and try to complete it in time and before the deadline. Here I put some examples of what I do and what are distractions that let my mind to delay the task.

Today in the morning I have to submit my lab file before 12pm. I woke up at 10 am and just thought and made a plan to register what the task I have to do. So when I start this by completing the lab file a lot of distractions occur like first my friends start calling me and asking about the work. It distracts me for a little but I place my mobile aside and start working because I have to complete it before 12. I almost completed my half file but suddenly my mom came and told me to bring a water cane from the store. This task is also urgent so I quickly got up and finished in only 5 minutes. After that I sat down and put all distractions aside because there was one hour remaining. At that time due to consistency of 1 hour I completed my work and submitted it.

After completing this task I reward myself after spending some time on social media. At 1 pm I set the time to complete the online amal course. I started the course but right after 1 hour I got distracted by my mother as I had to leave my nephew to his academy. I tried to do this as soon as possible because I had made my mind that I have to complete the course before Aftari. I came back and just started resuming my videos that have been left. I almost completed it but I got another distraction and that was also urgent. Somehow, after keeping pushing towards my task and by keeping it in mind that I have to complete it before Aftari, I succeed and complete it.

These distractions let my mind procrastinate the things which I have to do. But as I already set some deadlines in my mind, I’m automatically leading and urging me to complete my task as soon as possible. This technique is really helpful as it always keeps us in direction towards our goal. And also if we procrastinate daily we would never reach our goal and the result will only be regret. Thank you so much Amal for sharing with us that technique it always keeps us on track and helps us in overcoming procrastination.
